Southwestern Native Americans were around for about 600 years. They were situated in present-day Arizona, Colorado and Northern Mexico. They were surrounded by mesas, cliffs and canyons. The heat and lack of water made living in the Southwest a challenge, although they made use of anything around them to adapt. So what was it that allowed them to adapt very well?
